Brett was born in Dearborn, Michigan on October 18, 1982, to the late Jean Anne Wilson and The Reverend Thomas Stuart Wilson. He graduated from Columbia Central High School in 2001.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by beloved grandparents John and Edith Wilson and Aunt Judith Werth.
Brett is survived by his two beautiful daughters; Hazel Aspasia Wilson and Charlotte Gray Wilson of Florida; siblings Blair Wilson, Beth Holmes (Brian), Becky Clayborne (Jason); nieces and nephews, Ashley, Abby and Elias Wilson (Antonio Perez), Riley O’Brien, Taylor, Jacob and Emily Holmes, Reagan and Anderson Clayborne; aunts, Kimberly Teasedale and Kathleen Werth; and several cousins.
Brett was a 4 year member of the Columbia Central High School Marching Band. He was also a member of the Jackson Cadets. His daughters were the light of his life. He was the “fun” dad constantly singing the wrong lyrics and making jokes with his girls. He wanted the best for them and wanted them to be happy. Brett was a natural salesman, never met a stranger and cared about people as well as his pets. He enjoyed traveling with his dad visiting Europe twice as well as all over the US.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 311 West 7th Street, Columbia, TN or to the trust in benefit of Charlotte and Hazel Wilson at hannah.colbert@sagespring.com. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob McHenry, Jason Clayborne, Brian Holmes, and Danny Kyle.
