Brian William Safian, 77, retired Medical Technologist for Centennial Medical Center, and resident of Burns, TN, died Monday, August 12, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 16, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Stand Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 11:30 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

Born October 30, 1946 in Los Angeles, California, he was the son of the late Adam Safian and the late Ann Lengowy Safian. Mr. Safian proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. After leaving the Army, he worked for the next forty years as a Medical Technologist, the last eleven spent at Centennial Medical Center. On December 13, 1997 he married Anita George Safian. Mr. Safian was a member of Burns Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Ben) Hatler; son, David Brian Safian; stepdaughters, Rebecca Marie Sowell and Elizabeth Grey Sowell (Ronny) Mangrum; grandchildren, Ethan Wayne Hatler, Wesley Dean Hatler, William Keith (Stephanie) Dearman, James Edward (Marie) Newell, Lillian Claire Safian, and Dorothy Jane Safian; great-grandchildren, Adeline Grace Dearman, William Kolt Dearman, and Keegan Chase Nolen; and sister, Donna Marie Safian.
Pallbearers will be Alan Becker, William Keith Dearman, Ben Hatler, Rebecca Sowell, Elizabeth Sowell Mangrum, and Robert Meza. Honorary pallbearers will include Al Britt, Jim Bush, Larry Cundari, James Sego, Bruce Kuehnle, Dennis King, J.T. Manor, Patrick Cavanaugh, James McGinley M.D. & Staff, Brothers of Sigma Pi Fraternity, and Accent Care Staff.
