Isaac Bruce Tuttle, 84, retired field representative for Kraft Foods, died Monday, January 8, 2007, at Covenant Towers in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he had made his home for the past several months. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Graymere Church of Christ, 1320 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Winchester, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Will Tuttle and Sally Cottman Tuttle. He was married to Doris Green Caperton Tuttle who preceded him in death on June 11, 2006. Mr. Tuttle was a graduate of Winchester High School in Winchester, Kentucky and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture at the University of Kentucky. He served in World War II as a Naval Aviator. Mr. Tuttle was a member of the Columbia Lions Club where he served as President in 1989-1990 and Treasurer in 1991-1992. He was also elected a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Brian Caperton of Little River, South Carolina; one granddaughter, Amy Carol Caperton Jeffress of Duluth, Georgia; one sister, Carlyn Tuttle of Kentucky; and one nephew, Vernon Tuttle of Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Monroe Lovell, George Brazelton, Keith Mitchener, Ralph Gilliam, Reece Howell, and Virgil Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Columbia Lions Club.
