BUDDY CLARK Claude Maloy "Buddy" Clark, Jr., 58, well-known and respected building contractor for many years in the Columbia area and a resident of Krissy Court, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Veterans Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jerry Jeter officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Mount Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The Maury County native was the son of the late Claude M. Clark, Sr. and Elizabeth Doggett Clark. He was a Sergeant First Class in the U. S. Army, having five years service overseas including Germany. He was a member of the Blue Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Shinnie (Shane) Alexander of Columbia; Paula (Alex) Cardenas of McGuire Air Force Base, New Jersey; one son, Tony Clark of Columbia; five sisters, Glenda (Bill) Harrison, Vicky (Tommy) Ellis, and Audrey Norman, all of Columbia; Janice (David) Brown of Hohenwald; Kitty (Roger) Reese of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Jimmy (Jo) Clark of Columbia; Roger Clark of Georgia; Timmy Clark of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, Allison Clark, Hannah Alexander, Emma Alexander, Nathan Cardenas, and Matthew Cardenas; and his fiancée, Dawnita Rohrscheib and her family. Pallbearers will be Tommy Ellis, Glynn Stewart, Jack Winters, Lee Clark, Jeff Ellis, Bobby Baucom, Donnie Putnam, and Bob Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be employees and contractors at General Homes, past members of the Maury County Bass Club; golfing friends at Stoneybrook Golf Club, brothers-in-law and nephews, Bob Jackson, Larry Derryberry, and Don Galbreath.
