Buford King

Mr. Buford King, 73, retired employee of Hickman County Department of Transportation and resident of Leatherwood Road in Williamsport, died Friday, July 8, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wilson Jenkins and Donnie King officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery in Hickman County. He was a member of Jones Valley Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Hester Truett King of Williamsport; one brother, Doug (Lorene) King of Shady Grove Community; four sisters, Mary Ruth Ragsdale of Santa Fe; Frances (James) Vaughn of Bon Aqua; Faye Martin of Columbia; Joyce (James) Haywood of Williamsport; one sister-in-law, Giva Truett King of Williamsport; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn King. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Sammy King, Roger Truett, Tommy Truett, Billy Truett, Wayne Ragsdale, Timmy Martin, Calvin Vaughn and Davin Vaughn.
