View Video Tribute View Funeral Service Nancy Carolyn Fitzgerald Jarratt, 75, employee of school nutrition department of Maury County Public School System and resident of Columbia, died Friday, April 21, 2023 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Mike Bryan and Elijah Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born February 2,1948 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Howard Fitzgerald and the late Madaline Elizabeth Trimble Fitzgerald. She was a 1966 graduate of Spring Hill High School. Mrs. Jarratt loved serving the children at Maury County Public Schools, feeding her family, eating out, and taking road trips. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great granddaughter, Madi. Mrs. Jarratt was a member of Theta FCE Club, Theta Community Club, and Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, whom she married August 12, 1989, Thomas R. Jarratt, Jr. of Columbia; children, Monica (Walter) Cox, Michael Thomas Jarratt; grandchildren, Brian (Laura) Cox,, Krissy (Kevin) Ott; great granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Cox; sister, Donna (Willard) Murphy; sisters-in-law, Brenda (John) Russell, Linda (Jason) Boshers; brother-in-law, Ellis (Kim) Jarratt; nieces and nephews, Ronnie (Christie) Skelley, Tim (Gay) Skelley, Melissa (Jeffery) Nicks, Kristie (Bodeen) Moore, Robbie (Gerri) Jarratt, Kerri (Josh) Williams, Jessie (Winston) Walters; great nieces and great nephews, Allison (Drew) Love, Rylan Love, Chloe Love, Redding Love, Dustin (Ashley) Skelley, Desirae Skelley, Jaxson Batts, Cloie Moore, Jack Nicks, John Marshall Curtis, Camden Jarratt, Mason Jarratt, Ellie Walters, Jase Walters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Melvin Skelley; and father and mother-in-law, Robert and Mattie Lou Jarratt. Active pallbearers will be Robbie Jarratt, John Marshall Curtis, Bodeen Moore, Ronnie Skelley, Tim Skelley, and Brian Cox. Honorary pallbearers include members of Theta FCE Club, Theta Community Club, and Fairview Church of Christ, Theta Volunteer Fire Department and lunch ladies and gents of Maury County Public Schools.
