Jo Carolyn Allen Lovell, 81, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Greg Gwin officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

A native of Maury County, TN, she was born on August 31, 1943 to the late Joe Allen and the late Louise Thurman Allen. She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1961. Carolyn married Gary Wendell Lovell on March 15, 1963 and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2016. She enjoyed crafting and geneology and was a longtime member of Collegevue church of Christ.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Keith and Melissa Lovell of Spring Hill; daughter Karen Lovell of Nashville; granddaughter Amber Lovell of Murfreesboro; grandson Logan Lovell of Spring Hill; sister and brother in law, Barbara and Rich Keana of Arizona; niece Sherry Durham of Nashville, great niece Alexis Durham of Nashville; brother in law Bobby (Jeanette) Lovell of Columbia; sister in law Sue Primm of Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Logan Lovell, Cody Hutcherson, Dan Quillen, Joel Gwin, Roger Toombs, Dave Dozier, Matt Foster, and Mike England. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Calahan, Gordon Meade, David Bailey, Whiz Moser, Wade Shelton, men of Collegevue church of Christ, and Central High School Class of 1961.
