View Funeral Webcast Carolyn Reese Kennedy, 88, former manager of Columbia Garden Apartments and resident of Thompson Station, died Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Harvest Food Bank, 419 West Ninth Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born October 19,1931 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late James Harlan Reese and the late Estelle Massey Reese. On August 26, 1961, she married James Frank “Buddy” Kennedy, Jr. who preceded her in death May 27, 1999. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Craft United Methodist Church and attended West Seventh Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Patricia Baldwin of Murfreesboro; Ginny (Brad) Womack of Thompson Station; Mark (Angela) Kennedy of Franklin; grandchildren, Justin Baldwin of Murfreesboro; Matthew (Janet) Baldwin of Murfreesboro; Marabeth Kennedy of Franklin; William Kennedy of Franklin; Cameron Henderson of Murfreesboro; Carly Henderson of Thompson Station; Carson Womack of Thompson Station; Cate Womack of Thompson Station; Caitlin Ishee of Franklin; Grace Ann Ishee of Nashville; great grandchildren, M.J. Baldwin and Savannah Baldwin; and niece, Cynthia Fry of Nashville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Fry. Active pallbearers will be Tony Massey, Kent Cooper, Justin Baldwin, Matthew Baldwin, William Kennedy, Cameron Henderson, Carson Womack, and Brad Womack.
