Carrie Viola Saunders Sanders, 93, homemaker and longtime resident of Hampshire, died Friday, November 4, 2016, at her residence.A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Cedar Hill Cemetery with James Dickey officiating. Saunders and the late Bessie Viola Hall Saunders. On March 11, 1948, she married Thomas Edward Sanders, who preceded her in death January 16, 2000. Mrs. Sanders was a very devoted mother, who enjoyed following her children's school activities.Survivors include her children, Ruth Davis of Oakland, TN; Shirley Parton of Columbia; Melba (Don) Lee, Carolyn (Tommy Wayne) Anderson, Debra (Ricky) Lyons, and Bill (Tammy) Sanders, all of Hampshire; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Ragsdale; and great grandson, Adam Mason.Pallbearers will be Wes Lyons, Bryan Sanders, Troy Anderson, Adam Anderson, Timothy Lee, and Travis Howell.
