MRS. CATHY CAMPBELL Mrs. Martha Catherine "Cathy" Gunter Campbell, 61, former teacher in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at her residence on Westwood Drive. A memorial service for Mrs. Campbell will be conducted Monday at 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. J. C. Christian officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Willowbrook Hospice or Mt. Pleasant Elementary Library. A native of Wichita, Kansas, she was the daughter of Martha Daniels Gunter Chapman of Stockton, California, and the late Elder Gunter. Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she received her Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She attended the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sue (Steven) Hinesley of Franklin; Mrs. Laurie (Mike) Stanton of Mt. Pleasant; one son, John (Sandy) Schnicker of Jackson, Missouri; one sister, Rebecca Taylor of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother, Daniel (Janet) Gunter of Madera, California; six grandchildren, Mary Catherine Hinesley, Molly Virginia Hinesley, and James Edwin Hinesley, all of Franklin; Zachary Louis Stanton and Martha Anne Stanton, both of Mt. Pleasant; and Samantha Schnicker of Jackson, Missouri. She was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Gunter, and one sister-in-law, Diane Gunter.
