View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Charles Howard "Chuck" Simpson of Columbia went to be with his Savior at the age of 63. He left behind his beloved wife Linda and his two daughters, Bethany Simpson (Kacy) Brown of Culleoka and Samantha Simpson of Nashville, and his grandson, Kaceton Peyton Brown. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey Simpson of Decatur, AL. His parents, John and Peggy Jeffreys Simpson of Tuscumbia, AL, preceded him in death. He was born on December 16, 1957, in Tuscumbia, AL, graduated high school from Mars Hill Bible School, and received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Auburn University. He then served our country in the United States Army, rising to the rank of First Lieutenant. After being honorably discharged from the military, he had a long career in computer technology, and he most recently worked as a SAN administrator for the State of Tennessee in the Office of Information and Resources. He was a long-time member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon. He loved spending time with family and friends, smoking meat on his cooker, and listening to music. He cared deeply for his family and friends and was generous and kind to all he knew. He was a faithful Christian, and he frequently gave of his time and skill by serving during worship, cooking for church events, and volunteering on mission trips. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Family Center at West Seventh Street Church of Christ. The memorial service will follow immediately after in the auditorium.
