Charles Robert Pratt, 75, retired employee of Monsanto Chemical Company, died Friday, January 5, 2007 at his residence on Amber Lynn Circle. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday at Knob Creek Cemetery with Rev. Ezell Rose officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 P.M. at Mr. Pratt's residence, 136 Amber Lynn Circle. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to a fund for Alana Pratt at First Farmers & Merchants Bank. He was former owner and operator of Mallards Restaurant and had worked as truck driver for Lewis Bakeries. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Potts Howard Pratt of Columbia; two daughters, Teresa Brawner and Alana Pratt, both of Columbia; three step-children, Tonia Emmitt, Dana Howard (Wade) Allen, and Shannon (Robbie) Bridges, all of Columbia; two sisters, Nell (Jim) Blackburn and Peggy (Billy) Walters, both of Columbia; one brother, Dean (Clara) Pratt of Columbia; two grandchildren, Josh Brawner and Holly Brawner, both of Columbia; one great grandson, Bryson Brawner of Columbia; six step grandchildren; and one step great grandson. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Etta Alexander and one brother, James Pratt.
