Charles Wayne "Charlie" Scott

Charles Wayne "Charlie" Scott, 66, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at his residence on Brannon Court.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late William Thomas Scott and Virgie Christine McCandless Scott. On March 21, 1972 he married Barbara Anne Jones Scott who preceded him in death March 16, 2000. He worked for Harlan Oil Company and later Columbia Oil as a gas truck driver and delivered gas to ARCO and later Exxon. He formerly owned and operated Columbia Computer Shop for many years. Mr. Scott was a member of the Fruit of The Vine where he had served as secretary. Survivors include his son, Christopher Michael (Penny) Scott of Thompson's Station; grandchildren, Cheyenne Scott and Malia Scott both of Thompson's Station; brother, James N. (Katherine) Scott of Columbia; and sister, Mary Jane (David) Sparkman of Columbia.
