Charles M "Shorty" Sharp

A memorial candle-lighting service for Charles Monroe "Shorty" Sharp will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. on the Square of Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Tommy Vann officiating. A resident of Goodloe Street in Mt. Pleasant, Shorty was 54 at the time of his disappearance on August 21, 2002. He had worked as a grass cutter for Arlington Cemetery. Survivors include his brother, Donald "Duck" (Sharon) Sharp of Columbia; sisters, Shelby Jean Cates and Cathy (Thomas) McNabb, both of Mt. Pleasant; nieces, Lisa (T.K.) Kicklighter, Tia Sharp, Amber Sharp, Christy Marshall; nephews, Floyd Cates, Tim (Sandy) Cates, Matthew Morton; and several great nieces and great nephews.
