Charlie Garfield "Jack" Gibson, Jr., 74, retired electrician for Morgan Brothers Electric and resident of Yokley Road in Lynnville, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 6:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 2, 1942 in Giles County, he was the son of the late Charlie G. Gibson, Sr. and Alta Pearl Overstreet Gibson. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed birdwatching and was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Gibson was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, whom he married August 1, 1964, Omie Williams Gibson of Lynnville; daughters, Regina Lynn Hamlin and Shannon Gibson Terry both of Lynnville; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Michelle (John Ryan) Lowe, Kaleb Matthew Terry, Lukas Ace Terry, Kiara Grace Anderson, Makenzie Lynn Packard, and Makayla Love Packard; sister, Betty (James) Cosby; brothers, Terry (Sue) Gibson, and Ronnie (Faye) Gibson; and several nieces and nephews.
