Charlie Hence Parker

Mr. Charlie Hence Parker, 81, retired from Smith Trucking, died Tuesday, November 11, 2009 at his residence on Baptist Church Road in Culleoka. A memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Arch Warren officiating. Burial will be in Zion Churchyard at a later date. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3 - 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Mid-Tenn, 4205 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216, Nashville, TN 37215. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Smith Trucking Company. He was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Myra W. Fleming Parker of Culleoka; two daughters, Beth Towery of Brentwood, Ann (Robert) Davidson of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Timmy Cummings of Culleoka, Michelle Towery and Michael Towery both of Brentwood; one great-grandchild, Chesley Cummings of Lynnville; brother, Jim (Dee) Parker of Centerville; and one sister, Ruby Nell (Ray) Baker of Dickson. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Harley Parker, a sister, Ruth Campbell and brother, Ernest Parker.
