Mrs. Chloe Love McMinn, 92, former longtime resident of Brookside Drive, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Love Cemetery with John Vaughan officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Darius E. Love and Evie Sparkman Love. She was a graduate of Hay Long High School. On June 3, 1942 she married Wade Kennedy McMinn who preceded her in death February 14, 1980. She was retired from Grant's Department Store where she worked as a bookkeeper and later worked at Gordon's Jewelers. Mrs. McMinn enjoyed walking, crocheting and making latch-hook rugs. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include two granddaughters, Nikki (Brian) Hay and Shea (Marc) Payne both of Columbia; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Hay, Sydney Hay and Aiden Payne all of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Darius Mark McMinn, David Rodney McMinn, a grandson, Rodney Brett McMinn, and three sisters, Odessa Love Shannon, Katie Love Mayfield and Dorothy Love Robinette. Pallbearers will be Lance McMinn, Jim McMinn, Tim Shannon, Todd Howell, Stephen Howell, Chris Gray and Stephan Phillips.
