Christine Ivey Davis Potts

Mrs. Mary Christine Ivey Davis Potts, 82, resident of Sunset Lane, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bobby Sampson, Glen Alexander and Jonathan Jones officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Alex Pritchard Ivey, Sr. and Sallie Mai Baxter Ivey. She was a graduate of Spring Hill High School. She was first married to Jesse Lee Davis then later married Clyde Reed Potts who preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Potts retired from Helm's Jewelry where she had been employed for twenty-nine years. She was a member of Spring Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Connie (Johnny) Patterson of Spring Hill; two sons, Donny (Sheila) Davis of Columbia, Johnny (Debbie) Davis of Duck River; six grandchildren, Johnny Eugene Davis, Donald Wayne (Amy) Davis, Christopher (Kelly) Davis, Jesse (Candace) Davis, Johnny Patterson, Jr., Kasey Bryant Patterson; six great-grandchildren, Bryanna Davis, Jon Carter Davis, Caleigh Davis, Chloe Davis, Shamus Davis, Ivey Bryant Patterson; nine step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex P. Ivey, Jr. and William Sie Ivey. Pallbearers will be Clarence Lindsey, Johnny Davis, Donald Wayne Davis, Christopher Davis, Jesse Davis and Johnny Patterson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Ray Gibson and Chris Gibson.
