Christopher Joe Baker

Mr. Christopher Joe "Chris" Baker, 40, former electrician, died Tuesday, October14, 2008 at his residence on Denham Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Gary Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Helen Jones Baker of Columbia and the late Robert Wallace Baker. Survivors in addition to his mother include his daughter, Cassie Baker of Culleoka; brother, Anthony (Donna) Baker of Mobile, Alabama; and niece, Brittany Baker of Columbia. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Ricky Jones, Jason Tucker, Carlton Baker, Curtis Baker and Clarence Baker.
