Mr. Christopher Darnell Jackson, 53, resident of Kedron Road, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Kernodle officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 10:00 - 12:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Reared in Blowing Springs, Georgia, Mr. Jackson was the son of the late James Jackson and Elizabeth Bomar Jackson. He had made his home in Columbia for the past ten years and was employed part-time at the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of New Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lesa Lynette Roberson Davis Jackson of Columbia; a daughter, Melody Dupree of Chattanooga; two step-sons, Charles "Nick" (Tara) Stewart of Culleoka, Chad Davis of Columbia; one sister, Irma E. (Mike) Johnson of Decatur, AL; brother, Eric A. (Brenda) Jackson of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Bobbie Carol Roberson of Columbia; 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
