View Funeral WebcastClara Mae Scott Lancaster, 86, retired nursing technician, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at her residence in the Theta Community. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with James Dickey, minister of Robertson Fork Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Theta Baptist Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 23, 1931, in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late John Andrew Scott and the late Essie Mae Slaughter Scott. Prior to becoming a private sitter, Mrs. Lancaster was employed at Harpeth Terrace Nursing Home. She had previously worked at Lasko and Southwestern Publishing. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls. She was a member of Theta Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband whom she married January 8, 1948, Leonard E. Lancaster of Theta Community; daughter, Helen (Travis) Warf of Santa Fe; sons, David Lancaster of Theta Community; Kenny (C. J.) Lancaster of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Troy (Charlene) Warf, Brent (Kellie) Warf, Stephanie Lancaster Haley, Shane (Stefanie) Lancaster, Joshua (Kim) Lancaster, Bert (Lori) Hutcherson, Haley (Derrick) Carroll; great grandchildren, Hannah Warf, Justin Warf, Caden Warf, Emma Warf, Karly Lancaster, Riley, Wyatt Lancaster, Braelyn Carroll, Luke Carroll: sister, Sarah Williams of Santa Fe; and several nieces and nephews including Wanda Lancaster Burns who was a great help with her care. She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Neal Lancaster; sisters, Bertha Dee Stewart, Johnnie Ann McCrary, Addie B. Dickey, Viola Burt; and three brothers, Hardin Scott, Vernon Scott, and Dallas Scott. Pallbearers will be Brent Warf, Troy Warf, Shane Lancaster, Josh Lancaster, Derrick Carroll, Justin Warf, and Bert Hutcherson.
