Mrs. Clara Sanders Mrs. Clara Maxine Graves Sanders, 84, retired employee of Roses Department Store and resident of Columbia Rock Road, died Thursday, November 18, 2004, at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Kirk Brothers and Daniel Vannoy officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Family Center, P. O. Box 576, Columbia, TN 38402. She was married to James Lester "Slick" Sanders who preceded her in death in 1974. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty (Jerry) Haynes of Culleoka; Mrs. JoAnn Seagraves of Columbia; two sons, James A. (Ginger) Sanders of Culleoka; Wayne (Sally Parr) Sanders of Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Sara Lou Witherspoon of Columbia; Mrs. Geraldine Gannon of Lebanon; Mrs. Frankie (Davis) Harwell of White Bluff; one brother, Dorsey B. (Joyce) Graves of Peoria, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Jerry Phillip Haynes, Jr., Paul Anthony (Leighanne) Haynes, Edwin Keith (Laura) Seagraves, Bethany Marie (Wesley) Vick, Dana Marie Jenkins, James A. (Terry) Sanders, Lisa (Lewis) Osborne, Linda Jane Gibson, Cathy (Kenny) Coon, Cpl. James Corey Sanders, USMC, currently stationed in Fallujah; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, David Shane Sanders, and one son-in-law, Edwin Seagraves. Pallbearers will be Jerry Phillip Haynes, Jr., Paul Anthony Haynes, Keith Seagraves, James A. "Andy" Sanders, James Corey Sanders, James A. "Jimmy" Sanders, Justin Jenkins, Cole Haynes, Jared Osborne, Cody Gibson, Robbie Sanders, Wesley Vick, and Ed Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry P. Haynes, Davis Harwell, Lewis Osborne, Harvell Witherspoon, Donald Sisk, Bonnie & Terry Lester, Margaret Petty Family, Mickey Hyden, Bob Shubert, and special thank you for the kindness and caring of Dr. Doug Kennedy and his staff and the wonderful people at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center, particularly Daphne Lentz
