MR. CLARENCE A. DODD, JR. Mr. Clarence A. Dodd, Jr., 81, forty-three and a half year employee of Stauffer Chemical Company where he retired as electrical supervisor and a resident of North College Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, October 11, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Tommy Hagewood officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Williamson County native was the son of the late Clarence Adron Dodd, Sr. and Ruth Sparkman Dodd and served in the U. S. Navy in the South Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a long-time member and former Deacon of the Locust Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Gladys Farris Dodd of Mt. Pleasant; a son, C. Ronald (Martha) Dodd of Milan, Tennessee; three grandchildren, David R. (Tonna) Dodd, Sarah (Barry) Fultz, Deborah (Joe) Sims; six great-grandchildren, Davis Fultz, Nathan Fultz, Sandlyn Fultz, Hannah Dodd, Rachel Dodd, Jason Sims; two sisters, Ruth (Marvin) Howard of Nashville; Xenna (Freeman) Gooch of Donelson; three brothers, Edward D. (Mary) Dodd of Eagleville, Ottis (Lillie) Dodd of New Mexico, Brown (Eunice) Dodd of Pineville, Louisianna. He was preceded in death by a son, John Allen Dodd and two brothers, Hugh W. Dodd and John Cavel Dodd. Active pallbearers are his nephews, H. W. Dodd, Michael Dodd, David Dodd, Gary Dodd, Richard Wilkes, Ken Howard, Brad Howard, Daryl Dodd. Honorary pallbearers include Elders and Deacons of Locust Street Church of Christ, Jerry Grimes, retired employees of Stauffer Chemical Company, Dr. Charles A. Ball, Dr. Robert Bain.
