Clarence H Voss

Mr. Clarence H. Voss, 90, retired employee of Union Carbide and resident of Thomas Avenue, died Monday, September 30, 2002, at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Highland Church of Christ Building Fund. The Maury County native was the son of the late Eugene Voss and Bessie Fox Voss. He was married to Mai C. McKeffen Voss who preceded him in death December 6, 1999. He was a 1932 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include two brothers, William S. "Bill" Voss and Hardin Voss both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be nephews, Wayne Voss, Tommy Voss, Carl Voss, Jimmy Voss, Glenn Voss and Buddy Voss. Honorary pallbearers will be retired employees of Union Carbide.
