Claudell Robbins Parrott, age 87, long time resident of Columbia died peacefully on November 18, 2018 at Life Care Center surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 12:30 P.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Reverend Stacy Gonzalez officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Born November 3, 1931 in Overton County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Claude Robbins and the late Zodell Hill Robbins. On April 12, 1952, she married Harold Parrott who preceded her in death December 23, 1988. She was a graduate of Livingston Academy and went on to attended Tennessee Tech University. A devoted Christian who took great pride in her family and being a homemaker, Mrs. Parrott loved to cook and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a former member of the Maury Regional Auxiliary for many years, Farm Bureau Women, Home Demonstration Club, and Central Christian Women’s Club. Mrs. Parrott was a member of Central Christian Church and attended First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie (James) Cavanaugh of Brentwood; sons, D. Hal (Beth) Parrott of Lebanon; Mike (Gayle) Parrott of Nashville; sister, Ann (Eldon) Pippin of Cookeville; grandchildren, Matt Cavanaugh; Jenny (Joel) Crim; Will Parrott; Amy Parrott; Noah Parrott; great grandson, Collin Crim; and several nieces and nephews across the country. Active pallbearers will be her family. The family would like to express a special thanks to her caregiver and friend, Rose Bondurant, Life Care Center, and The Bridge.
