Claudie Ray Goodwin

Claudie Ray Goodwin, 70, died Monday, January 2, 2017 at his residence on Parsons Bend Road. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. at Concord Cemetery with Reverend Mike Dawson officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.The Maury County native was the son of the late Markus James Claudie Goodwin and Annie Lee "Jo" Adams Goodwin. On June 27, 1963, he married Betsy Ann Duncan Goodwin who preceded him in death February 17, 2014. Mr. Goodwin devoted his life to caring for his son and working on his farm. Survivors include his son, Markus Ray Goodwin of Columbia; sister, Joelene Parks of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his half-brother, Raymond Mills.
