MRS. CLEMMIE COLLIER Mrs. Clemmie Dee Francis Collier, 81, former resident of Wedgewood Drive, died Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at NHC Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. She was married for over fifty years to James Albert Collier, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 15, 1992. She was a graduate of Giles County High School and attended nurses training at King's Daughters School. She was a member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Larry) Kirk formerly of Columbia; one son, James Albert (Kearney) Collier, Jr. of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Robbin (Kelly) Collins of Johnson City, Stephanie (John) Carter of Knoxville, Adam (Dabney) Kirk of Murfreesboro, Matthew Kirk of Franklin; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Carter of Knoxville. Pallbearers will be Adam Kirk, Matthew Kirk, John Carter, R.B. Sands, Raymond Sands, Jeffery Collier, Wayne Collier, Frank Duncan, L.M. Coffey and Jerry Price. Honorary pallbearers will be J.B. Long, Garland Glenn, Hubert Mash and Jim Dent.
