View Funeral WebcastMr. Clifton Scott, 82, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wilson Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Scott Family Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Scott Family Cemetery, c/o Betty King, 6653 Clifton Scott Rd., Primm Springs, TN 38476. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the son of the late Eddie Scott and Florence Ragsdale Scott. On February 28, 1944 he married Hazel Pauline Ragsdale who preceded him in death July 23, 1993. Mr. Scott was a farmer and also a retired school bus driver with the Hickman County Board of Education. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of Jones Valley Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Betty King of Primm Springs, Mary (Arnold) Hanes of Jones Valley, Wanda (Wendell) Ragsdale of Primm Springs; three brothers, Wilburn (Shirley) Scott of Little Lot, Hubert Scott of Primm Springs, Eddie Eugene (Marie) Scott of Lyles; seven grandchildren, Steve King, Jennifer (Lloyd) Eakes, Tommy King, Marty Ragsdale, Brian Ragsdale, Chad Hanes, Tiffany Hanes; five great-grandchildren, Kevin King. Ashley King. Bailey Greksa, Haley Eakes, Gabriel King; and one great-great grandson, Ty King. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Scott, Hazel McGaw; one brother, Granville Scott; and a son-in-law, Bennie King. Pallbearers will be Steve King, Tommy King, Kevin King, Chad Hanes, Marty Ragsdale, Brian Ragsdale, Lloyd Eakes and James Morton. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Jones Valley Church of Christ.
