Cody James Patterson

Mr. Cody James Patterson, 74, employee of Security Forces at Timken and resident of Apache Circle in Pulaski, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at St. Thomas Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. James Prewitt officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Patterson's daughter, Melinda, will join the family to visit with friends Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to service time. The Huntsville, Alabama native was the son of the late Arch Griffin Patterson, Sr. and Beulah Hughey Patterson. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Richland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Francenia "Frankie" Baxter Patterson of Pulaski; two daughters, Melinda Harlan of Hampshire and Melissa (David) Russell of Pulaski; two brothers including his twin brother, Ray LaVaughn "Buster" (Shirley) Patterson of Percy, Arkansas and Arch Patterson of Columbia; a sister, Carrie Virginia "Tincy" Patterson of Columbia; and three granddaughters, Bethany Lee Russell, Beverly Laine Russell and Brianna Linden Russell. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Richard Patterson, Woodrow Patterson, Theo Patterson, Billy Patterson, Calvin Patterson, Sherlock Patterson, Eugene Patterson and one sister, Audrey Patterson Adair. Pallbearers will be J.J. Brindley, Steven Farrar, Lance Norton, Ricky Hargrove and Todd Bolton. Honorary pallbearers will be Arch Patterson, Wayne Whitwell and Ray LaVaughn Patterson.
