View Funeral Webcast Mr. Dale D Hoonhorst, 48, a resident of Matthew Avenue in Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Hoonhorst will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Kane officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 28, 1973, he was the son of the late David Henry Hoonhorst and the late Kyle Jean Ensink Hoonhorst. He was employed by MVI Field Services where he was a field inspector. Mr. Hoonhorst was the former owner of Ponderosa in Lawrenceburg and Bonanza in Columbia. He was a man of many interests, who would try anything once. He loved words and reading or listening to music. He loved watching basketball and playing games with family and friends. He is survived by his siblings, Daniel Lee (Danielle) Hoonhorst, Lynette Hoonhorst, Kristin May (Timothy R.) Stevens; three nieces; three nephews; and three great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great nephew, Caiden Parson. Pallbearers will be Daniel Hoonhorst, Jacob Hoonhorst, Nicholas Stevens, Blake Parson, Jason Slaughter, and Charles Willis II. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Columbia Academy 1101 West 7th Street Columbia, Tennessee 38401.
