DANNY BLACK Mr. Danny Walker Black, 51, project manager and design engineer at Columbia Machine Works and resident of West 14th Street, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 127 Theta Pike, Columbia, TN 38401. He spent most of his early life in Williamson County and attended school at Bethesda. Mr. Black was a member of Northside Baptist Church where he was very active in church work. He had a love for music and playing the guitar. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Hartsfield Black of Columbia; one son, Jared Thomas Black of Columbia; two daughters, Lydia Black (Stephen) Pinson and Rachel Black (Randall) Workman, both of Columbia; one sister, Sandra (Larry) Sands of Lynnville; two brothers, Porter (Martha) Black of Campbell Station Community; Chris Black of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Sydney Elaine Pinson, Lukas Walker Pinson, Christian Andrew Pinson, and Randall Lee Workman, all of Columbia; aunts, Ann (Tommy) Randolph of Franklin; Susie Jamison of Chicago, Illinois; Mary Hutchinson of Water Valley Community; Elsie Fitzgerald of Columbia; Oma Wright of Jackson, Mississippi; and Juanita Beard of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Black, Harlon Black, Brian Black, Sam Hartsfield, Micah Hartsfield, Joe Kelley, Dorris Fitzgerald, and Freddy Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Columbia Machine Works and men of Northside Baptist Church.
