Darlene Ellen Alfirevic Ruelle, 82, resident of Columbia, died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mr. Daniel McCulley officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Darlene was born on September 26, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank Alfirevic and the late Lillian Drew Alfirevic. She married William Ruelle on April 4, 2004 and spent 14 wonderful years together until Williams passing in 2018. Darlene enjoyed the arts and crafts, reading, nature, and her nickel slots. She was a member of the Maury County Senior Center, enjoyed going to dinner with friends, and was known for being sassy. Darlene was a big fan of Green Bay Packers football, and most of all she was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Lillian (Jeffrey) Leonard of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Brandon Leonard, Brian Leonard, and Cody Leonard all of Columbia, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, Darlene is preceded in death by her son, Richard Vanderbeck in 1994.
