Mr. Darnell "Joe" Hutcherson, 64, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at his residence on Dog Creek Road in Primm Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Johnson and Rev. Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Potts Cemetery. The Maury County native was the son of the late James Eugene Hutcherson and Maude Pauline Byrd Hutcherson. He had been a saw mill operator and an independent logger. He is survived by his wife, Era Mai Hedrick Hutcherson of Primm Springs; two step-children, Jerry D. (Rita) Hedrick and Melissa Hedrick both of Primm Springs; two grandchildren, Jeramey Hedrick, Joshua Harvey; two great grandchildren, Ansley Harvey, Taylor Harvey; two sisters, Mrs. Kay Carter and Sheila (Edson) Towne both of Williamsport; and two brothers, Carl (Reta) Hutcherson and Ed Hutcherson both of Williamsport. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Hutcherson and brother, Willie C. Hutcherson. Pallbearers will be Jeramey Hedrick, Joshua Harvey, Jim Dodson, Larry Warren, Kevin Webb, Rodney Webb, and Carl "BooBoo" Hutcherson. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Ray Stanfill, Fred McCoy, Bobby Potts, Tommy Westmoreland, Kenneth Webb and employees of Stanfill's Sawmill in Culleoka.
