View Video TributeView Funeral Webcast Part 1View Funeral Webcast Part 2Mr. David Murphy Campbell, 55, radiologic technologist and resident of Haven Drive, died Monday, June 2, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Presbyterian Church with Rev. Paul Joiner, Rev. Arch Warren and Rev. Donald Wahlman officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Box 1864, Columbia, TN 38402.Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Williamson County native was the son of the late George W. Campbell, Jr. and Evelyn Abernathy Campbell and was a 1976 graduate of Spring Hill School. In 1993 he earned an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology at Columbia State Community College. Mr. Campbell was a radiology technologist at Williamson Medical Center from 1998 until 2006 when he joined Maury Regional Medical Center, where he served as a surgical radiologic technologist and a clinical instructor for students. Mr. Campbell retired in November of 2013 due to illness. He was a member of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. He loved spending time with his sons and volunteered as Cub Scout den leader of Troup 154. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and astronomy. Mr. Campbell was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church for twenty-five years where he served as a Deacon and taught childrens' Sunday School classes. Survivors include his wife, Stacy Ann Abramowitz Campbell of Columbia, whom he married March 31, 2001; sons, David Aaron Campbell of Clarksville, Jake Philip Randall, Adam Nathaniel Campbell both of Columbia; brother, Robert Campbell and his identical twin brother, Donald (Kim) Campbell both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Colin Campbell and George W. Campbell, III. Active pallbearers include Robert Campbell, Milburn Hogue, Scott Pugh, Dale Bryant, Sidney Shull, Dr. Thomas Quinn and Jeremy Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Doctors and staff in the Surgical Department at Maury Regional Medical Center, Gregory "Nowdy" Privette, nephew, Logan Campbell and his cousins.
