Mr. David Scott "Scotty" Ligon, 27, truck driver, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at his residence in Lewisburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Carl May officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. He was employed by CRL Trucking and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his parents, Gary Wayne Ligon and Sharon Sharp Ligon of Columbia; two daughters, Emery Grace Ligon, Daisha Marmee both of Shelbyville; one sister, Bethany Cardwell Ligon of Columbia; grandparents, Julian and Rose Marie Sharp of Columbia, Gene (Nancy) Ligon of Goodlettsville, Christine Ligon of Tennessee City; and one nephew, Tyler Christian Thompson. Pallbearers will be Alan Hooper, T.J. Toney, Dion Miller, Dewayne, Nick Panduren, Randy Ligon, Jerry Ligon, Jimmy Ligon and Todd Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be Rachel McClellan, Earon Siler, Stephen Sharp and Jerry Sharp.
