MR. DAVID MOOREMr. David Macon Moore, 86, retired brick layer and supervisor with A.P. Green Services, died Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at his residence on Goode Drive.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim and St. Luke United Methodist Church.The Franklin County, Alabama native was the son of the late David Austin Moore and Jettie Lou Swinny Moore. He was married to Martha Sue Driver Moore who preceded him in death April 3, 2000. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Bricklayers Union #5 and of St.Luke United Methodist Church.Survivors include three sons, David Ronald (Norma) Moore of Spring Lake, North Carolina, William Robert (Deirdra) Moore of Antioch, and Kenneth Ray (Teresea R.) Moore of Columbia; three daughters, Mrs. Sandra Sue Haywood, Mrs. Martha Gail (Frank) Church, Mrs. Karen Faye (Eddie) Sharp all of Columbia; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Haywood, Jr., Richard Haywood, Troy Daniel Haywood, Edward Sharp, Jr., Chris Sharp, Darrin Church, Kevin Church and Sean Moore.
