View Funeral WebcastDeamie White Priest, 86, retired dental office receptionist, former saleslady at W. W. Evans Company and resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, 1533 Theta Pike, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born September 8, 1931 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Early Reed White and the late Ida Mae Chumley White. On September 12, 1947, she married Virgil Woodard Priest who preceded her in death October 9, 2008. She enjoyed playing board games, caring for her dogs and watching squirrels in her yard; but most of all she loved and was devoted to her church and family. Mrs. Priest was a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.Survivors include her sons, Eddie (Debbie) Priest; and David Priest both of Columbia; granddaughter, Terri (Joel) Seaton; great grandchildren, Destiny Seaton; Terryn Seaton; Jayden Seaton; great great granddaughter, Alyssa Seaton; sisters, Sue Ann Harlan of Columbia; Earline Prince of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Millard Graves; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, J.T. and Doris Priest; Jessie and Flora Jones; James H. "Pete" Harlan; and Ted Prince; Active pallbearers will be Curtis McCoy, Steven Priest, Roger Priest, Joel Seaton, Terryn Seaton, Ricky Jones, Thomas Bloodworth, Buddy Harlan, Larry McDonald, and Gary McDonald. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Angela Joynes and members of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
