Dean Allieen Darnell Sherrill, 74, retired legal secretary and resident of Bear Creek Pike, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Stan Butt officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. A native of the Chapel Hill Community in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Darnell and Elizabeth Griggs "Lizzy" Darnell. She was a graduate of Forrest High School and a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ. For a number of years, she was legal secretary to the law firm of MacFarland, Colley, Blank & Jack. Later, she was assistant to Lon P. MacFarland and served as an officer of Middle Tennessee Bank. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Richard) Chappell of Columbia, a son, Tere Sherrill of Columbia; two grandchildren, Keisha Sherrill and Haleigh Chappell; her twin brother, Dale (Mary) Darnell of Shelbyville; and a sister, Sybil (John) Harper of Chapel Hill. Men of Chapel Hill Church of Christ will serve as pallbearers.
