Deborah Fay Springer Potts, 62, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at her residence in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mylen Coble officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Deborah was born February 4, 1954 in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Willard Springer who died in 1967 and the late Betty Grooms Springer Fogg who died in 2003. She spent most of her life in the medical field as a caregiver. Deborah had a great love for others and all who knew her loved her. She attended Viola Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband with whom she has shared forty-five wonderful years, Nathan Ray Potts of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Michael (Christie) Goats of Hampshire and Timmy (Kathy) Potts of Columbia; daughters, Angie (Eddie) Morton of Summertown and Jennifer (Timmy) Massie of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Beverly (Billy) Edwards of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Julie Potts, Justin Morton, Jenny Morton, Jesse James, Anthony James, Emily James, Nicholas Potts, Landon Potts, Miranda Goats, Will Goats; and one great granddaughter, Zaylee Morton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Fogg Johnson in 2002. Active pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons, Will Goats, Jesse James, Anthony James, Justin Morton, Nick Potts, and Landon Potts. David McCoy will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
