Delcie Twomey Bates Lineberry

Mrs. Delcie Twomey Bates Lineberry, 94, retired seamstrees, died Saturday, July 23, 2005 at her residence in Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Marion Smith Twomey and Looney Etta Love Twomey. She was a long-time member of the West 7th Street Church of Christ. She first married Gerald Dean Bates on December 30, 1928, who died July 5, 1976. Her second husband, Loda B. Lineberry, died June 18, 1995. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Sallie McCaleb, Macie Williams, Bertha Cummins, Fannie Baker, Octa Cunningham and Charlotte Lillard and two brothers, Tom Twomey and Doice Twomey. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a foster daughter, Peggy Calloway of Big Fork, Montana. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
