DELORES ELLIS Mrs. Delores Ann Grimes Ellis, 56, seamstress, interior decorator and resident of Birchwood Drive, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of Mary Hazel Johnson Grimes of **** and the late Hildreth Daniel Grimes. She was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her mother she is survived by her fiance, Ed Etheridge of Columbia; two sons, William J. Ellis, Jr., Daniel A. Ellis both of Columbia; two daughters, Christie (Tony) Lee of Pulaski, Lori (Allen) Lancaster of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Tyler Lancaster, Paige Lancaster; one aunt, Viola Raney of ****; four brothers, James W. (Donna) Grimes of North Carolina, Daniel R. Grimes of West Virginia, Derl (Jan) Grimes of Florida, Tony (Jenny) Grimes of Georgia; five sisters, Mary Jo Pedigo of Texas, Barbara Hodge of Columbia, Linda (Everett) Martin of Columbia, Hilda Hunnicutt of Columbia, Catherine (Robert) Warf of Ohio; and eight nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
