Mr. Dennis Diehl Mills, 54, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Lone Oak Cemetery with Larry Tarkington and Jimmy Rowland officiating. A native of Plant City, Florida he was the son of the late Joseph Wheeler Mills and Edith Christine Harris Mills. He attended Columbia Central High School. Mr. Mills had been employed at Union Carbide, Maury County Highway Department and Federers. Survivors include two sons, Joey (Mandy) Mills and Phillip (Tiffeny) Mills both of Columbia; sister, Betty Mills Staggs of Hermitage; brother, Billy Mills of Nashville; half-brothers, Phillip Brown, Wayne Brown; and half-sister, Pat Brown. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Dean Mills in 1983.
