Mr. Dennis R. Sewell, 68, lifelong resident of Skelley Road in the Bethel Community, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Kindred Respiratory Rehab Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Johnson, Rev. B.J. Ferguson and Rev. Gary Fewell officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was born and raised and lived his entire life in the same house. He was a 1957 graduate of Santa Fe High School. Mr. Sewell was a farmer and had driven a Maury County school bus. He was a member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Gaile Pigg Sewell of Santa Fe; mother-in-law, Bettye Fox Wilt of Columbia; father-in-law, John William (Hazel) Pigg; brother-in-law, Tony (Cathy) Wilt of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Felicia Wilt of Antioch, Jennifer (Scott) Sisk of Columbia; two nieces, Paula Wilt and Samantha Sisk both of Columbia; one nephew, Drew Sisk of Columbia; and a very special cousin, Mark Priest of Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Eric Cook, Aaron Priest, Doug Sandlin, Jeff Fox, Tim Fox, Joey Sewell, David Sewell, Dean Sewell and Ted Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Stevenson, Randal Harris, Oscar Priest, Henry Carlisle, Ray Wilson, Bill Ammons, James Ray Fraser, Eddie Cook, Larry Fox, Jim Raines, J.P. Due, Robert Wakefield, Bransford Wilson, Doug Pilkinton, Travis Warf and members of the Santa Fe Class of 1957.
