Gerald Dewayne "Toddie" Foster, Sr., 58, construction worker and resident of Homer Turnbow Road in Hohenwald, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at Deaver's Cemetery in Hohenwald with Charles Brown officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 12:00 - 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and served in the U. S. Army. Survivors include three children, Gearld D. (Sandra) Foster, Jr. of Columbia; Hope Foster of South Carolina; Wrayne Forrest Foster of Hohenwald; four grandchildren, Haley Foster and David Foster, both of Columbia; Brianna Ewing and Tyler Ewing, both of Hohenwald; one sister, Jane Foster Andrews of Columbia; and four brothers, Bobby E. (Martha Ann) Foster of Culleoka; Ray "Donnie" (Donna) Foster of Chapel Hill; Bruce Foster and Jerry Foster, both of Columbia. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Ewing; one brother, Forrest Raymond "Ronnie" Foster; and one sister, Linda Sue Hurd. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
