View Funeral Webcast Dickie Wayne Voorhies, lifelong resident of Columbia, Tennessee, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 28, 2023, at the age of 54 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He gave the gift of life through organ donation. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Potts Voorhies Morris of Columbia; twin brother, Nicholas Shane Voorhies of Columbia; sister, Michelle (David) Fuller of Columbia; nephew, Aaron Fuller; niece, Alissa Fuller; children, James (Nikita) Voorhies of Lawrenceburg; Rebecca Huffstetler of Maryville; Samantha Voorhies of Columbia; Savannah Voorhies of Knoxville; Austin Voorhies of Knoxville; grandchildren, Jaylen Voorhies, Jaxon Voorhies, Jazaiah Voorhies, Liam Voorhies, Callie Voorhies, Emma Brewer, Audrey Brown, Bristol Huffstetler, Paisley Huffstetler, Isabella Huffstetler; step grandchildren, Cheyenne Dolberry, Dahlilah Dolberry, Jackson Dolberry, and Jessie Griffin; step-brothers, Johnny Voorhies, Joseph Voorhies; and aunts, Mary McClanhan and Marguerite Voorhies. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Layne Voorhies ;step-father, William Morris; and son-in-law, Randal Huffstetler.
