Dinah Paulette Webb Potts, 66, homemaker and resident of Leipers Creek Road in the Water Valley Community, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Dennis Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery in Hickman County. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 27, 1951 in Maury County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Webb and the late Paulene Johnson Webb. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardening. Mrs. Potts a member of Jones Valley Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, John Emerson Potts of Water Valley; brother, Kenneth (Jewell) Webb of Santa Fe; special nephew, Chris Webb; several other nieces and nephews; and two chihuahuas, Birdie and Essie. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Geneva Knowles and Shirley Love; and brothers, Douglas Webb and Bobby Webb. Active pallbearers will be Chris Webb, Darrell Brown, Arnold Haynes, Chad Haynes, Bucky Roland, and David Alderson.
