View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Dolores Baker Morrow, 85, former long-time resident of the Hampshire Community and retired employee of the business office at Maury Regional Medical Center, died Sunday, November 10, 2019 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bishop Douglas Fry. Burial will follow in Morrow Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born June 5, 1934 in Pocahontas, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harold Snowden Baker, Sr. and the late Mary Lou Reedy Baker. On October 25, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah, she married Ulner Scott Morrow who preceded her in death January 2, 2014. She graduated from high school in Ironton, Ohio, and attended Ashland Community College and Columbia State Community College, where she received a certificate in banking. For several years, she worked for First Farmers & Merchants Bank in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Morrow was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was active, having served as District President over the Relief Society, Sunday school teacher, pianist, organist, and choir director. She served as a missionary in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a trained vocalist and musician. Mrs. Morrow was well-known in her community as an excellent cook and baker. Survivors include her sons, Stephen Ray Morrow of Columbia; David Todd (Crystal) Morrow of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Scott Morrow; Andrew (Lisa) Morrow; Lauren Raye Morrow; Justin Morrow; Hayes Morrow; Rachel Elizabeth Morrow; step grandchildren, Andrew Hay; Bryson Hay; great grandchild, Jarrett Stephens; sister-in-law, Mildred Parker; brothers-in-law, Dr. Taylor Rayburn; Wayne Clawson; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Shaffer; Barbara Grimm; and brother, Harold S. Baker, Jr. Active pallbearers will be Gordon Travis, Myron Smith, Scott Morrow, Andrew Morrow, Justin Morrow, Ronnie Pennington, Chris Joyner, Mark Gongwer, and Ronnie Odom.
