View Memorial Service WebcastMr. Donald Ray "Don" Bailey, 61, owner of Triple R. Controls, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at his residence on Frye Road. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pleasant native was the son of the late Walter P. Bailey and Helen Eddlemon Bailey. He was a 1965 graduate of Hay Long High School and earned a B.S. degree in Business from Middle Tennessee State University in 1971. Mr. Bailey was stationed in Korea while serving in the United States Army . He was a member of Elks Lodge #686 and Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. He was an avid sports enthusiast who loved football, fishing and duck hunting. Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Bailey of Nashville, Kimberly (Nick) Boutis of Long Island, New York; two brothers including his twin, Ronald Bailey of Columbia, and Tim Bailey of Franklin; sister, Sandra (Dave) Tomlin of Huntsville, Alabama; granddaughter, Sophia Boutis of Long Island, New York; 4 nieces; and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Copeland Bailey and a nephew, Walton Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Larry Peach, Jimmy Rippey, Steve Kelley and members of "The Shop".
