Donald Wayne Burns

Donald Wayne Burns, 70, former employee of Teledyne in Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence on Cliff White Road. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Jones Cemetery with Jeremy Butt and John Travis Hamilton officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Jones Cemetery. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late John Bernard "J.B." Burns, Jr. and the late Elease Bennett Burns. He enjoyed hunting. Mr. Burns was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. Survivors include his brother, Douglas (Sandy) Burns of Columbia; sister, Joan (Larry) Poole of Columbia; nieces, Beth Marie (Jim) Hamilton of Columbia; Jennifer (Donald) Naquin of Houma, Louisiana; and great nephews, John Travis Hamilton of Columbia; and Ethan Matthew Naquin of Louisiana.
