Donald Duncan, 73, retired store clerk for Publix and lifelong resident of Maury County, died Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Magnolia Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Kane officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 2:00 PM till the time of service at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born August 22, 1951 in Hampshire, TN, he was the son of the late Robert Ewing Duncan Sr. and the late Alice Josephine Morrow Duncan. He graduated from Hampshire High School in 1971. Donald loved gardening and cooking, but he mostly loved people. He was happy spirited, loved everybody, and never met a stranger. Donald was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and very special friends, Monisa Baxter, Nevaeh Baxter, and Kevin Grant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his life companion of 25 years, Vaniel Ray Norman, on August, 29 2014; and siblings, Joe Duncan, Ray Duncan, Dorothy Armstrong, Betsy Goodwin, Jackie Dugger, Sue Hurt, R. E. Duncan, Bobbie Harmon, and his twin, Ronald Duncan.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
